There will be no salesperson license renewal on April 30, 2011. Instead All Illinois real estate salesperson licenses will be extended until April 30, 2012, at which time these "salespersons" licenses shall all expire. During the time period May 1, 2011 through May1 2012 all those individuals holding an active Illinois Real Estate salesperson license must "transition" to an Illinois brokers license. T
Option 1. PROFICIENCY EXAM
Take and pass a one time Salesperson to Broker Proficiency Exam . This exam must be administered by an IDFPR approved real state school. See our classroom Prep and Test Schedule designed to assist students in passing the salesperson to broker proficiency exams. .
REEC will notify our students of their score within 2 to 3 weeks of the test date, Anyone failing the proficiency exam
( candidates must have a minimum score of 75%) must then accomplish their transition by taking Option #2 the 30 hr course.

Option 2. 30 Hr. Course
Complete a 30- hour Course offered by an approved real estate school and pass the course 50 Question Multiple choice final exam with a minimum score of 75%. (Note: Students failing may have one retake.)
Continuing Education Requirement
If you choose the 30 hr Class option you will NOT need to take any additional Continuing Education Courses..
Continuing Education Requirement
If you chose the Proficiency Exam Option than you will also need to complete 18 hours of CE (9 core & 9 elective) on or before 4/30/12.
